This spacious and friendly spot welcomes families, small groups and well-behaved dogs for laidback holidays on a green and grassy field. The site is easily accessible but secluded, with a wide range of adventurous activities and local amenities within a short walk. Facilities here include hot showers and flushing toilets Campfires and barbecues are permitted.<\/p>\n
As well as the dry ski slope next door, the activity centre organises watersports, archery, frisbee golf and abseiling (book in advance via the centre’s website), while a mile away in Sandford village centre you have access to a pub, a kids’ playground, footpaths and Thatchers Cider Farm.<\/p>\n
This is a scenic location with nearby woodlands and plenty of wildlife to be spotted, including deer, foxes and buzzards. Nearby walks of note include the Strawberry Line, the Mendip Way and strolls around Cheddar Gorge, while for coastal capers Weston-super-Mare and the Somerset coast are half an hour away by road.<\/p>\n
