The historic city of Wells is just a 30 minutes drive away.
With a lovely range of independent shops and restaurants the high street has lots of treasures to discover.
The stunning cathedral dominates the skyline – dating back over 800 years it should be on your list of things to visit. The Bishops Palace just a few minutes away is also wonderful to wander around, it has a moat usually populated by swans!
Wells has been used as a filming location in a number of Hollywood movies and TV series, including Hellboy, and Hot Fuzz – see if you can recognise any as you walk around!
